Man killed in house fire found by firefighters

A man has been killed in a fire which tore through the ground floor of a three-floor building last night.

Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters responded to a fire in Onslow Road, Richmond.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by the fire. Firefighters found a man in the home who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at around 8pm and the fire was under control by around 10pm. 

Firefighters from Richmond, Kingston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.

A spokesman from the LFB said: “The fire is under investigation by the LFB and the Met.”
