Police trying to find Thornton Heath stabber

A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital on Friday after broad daylight stabbing in a quiet residential street.

Police were called at around 1.30pm following reports of a knife attack in Buckingham Avenue in Thornton Heath.

Officers from the Met Police and London Ambulance Service attended and found a young man suffering a stab injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment where doctors thankfully found his wound was not life-threatening.

A crime scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with, but has since been lifted. The attacker is still on the loose, with police yet to make any arrests. Enquiries continue.
