Spooky half-term fun guaranteed at the Wetland Centre

There are just a few weeks until the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust London (WWT) undergoes a ‘Super Natural’ makeover for the October half-term.

From October 26 to November 3, WWT London will be hosting a bewitching ‘Spells and Potions’ holiday event for little and big kids alike, featuring wand making, potion crafting and clay modelling – not forgetting a scavenger hunt to find the hidden wonders of the reserve – from vibrant fungi to the breathtaking hues of nature.

Enjoying WWT London’s week of Super Natural activities will be made easy thanks to a free WWT London Spells and Potions logbook, which will be available to pick up on arrival from the Super Natural hub and includes fun activities, and a handy space to write down spooky spells and ‘supernatural’ potions.

Alexia Hollinshead, general manager at WWT London, said: “Whether it’s mixing up mystical concoctions or making your own magical wand for spell casting, we’re bubbling over with activities to take part in this October half-term.”

WWT London will also run a fancy dress competition this half-term. Children are invited to visit the centre dressed as their favourite magical character, post a photograph of themselves exploring the nature reserve on social media, and tag @WWTLondon to be in with a chance of winning two family tickets to the centre.

See https://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/london/whats-on/events/october-half-term-social-media-competition for more details. The centre is off Castlenau Road, just across the Thames from Hammersmith and Fulham.

All half-term activities will be included with the price of admission or free to WWT members.  More information and a full what’s on calendar can be found at https://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/london/whats-on/.
