Streatham woman rescued from house fire
Firefighters rescued a woman from a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
Part of the ground floor of a terraced house was damaged by fire in Leverson Street, Streatham.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from the ground floor who was treated on scene.
The London Fire Brigade was called at around 4.5oam and the fire was under control by around 5.10am.
Three fire engines and about 15 firefighters from Tooting and Norbury fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault in an oil-filled radiator.
