Three in the dock on attempted murder charges over Battersea shooting

Detectives investigating a shooting in Battersea that left a man injured have charged three men with attempted murder.

On Friday, Junior Bolarinwa, 21, of Halsmere Road, Camberwell and Aniss Djerrad, 22, of Opal Street, Kennington, were charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

They have since appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.

A third man, Zavier Williams, 21, of College Park Road, Tottenham, was yesterday charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

He is also due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.

Police were called shortly after 7pm on Wednesday, February 7, to reports of a shooting in Shuttleworth Road, Battersea.

Officers found the 26-year-old victim with a gunshot injury nearby in a car park. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
