Two injured in blaze that ‘destroyed’ ambulance and damaged two cars
Two people were injured after a fire ‘completely destroyed’ an ambulance and a car yesterday afternoon.
Two fire engines and about 10 firefighters were called to reports of two vehicles on fire in Little Heath Road, Bexleyheath.
One ambulance and one car were fully destroyed by the fire, and one further car was partially damaged in the blaze, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
Two adults – a man and a woman – suffering from shock and whiplash, were assessed on-scene by LFB crews.
The LFB took the first of three calls to the incident at around 3.30pm.
Crews from Bexley and Erith fire stations brought the fire under control by around 4pm.
