Two more teenagers charged with murder of 15-year-old schoolboy
Two more teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death with a “zombie-style knife”, eight days ago.
Daejaun Campbell was found with a stab injury in Eglinton Road, Woolwich, on September 22. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
Marko Balaz, 18, of Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, was arrested on Wednesday and appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, charged with murder. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.
A 17-year-old boy, who was arrested on Friday, will appear in custody at Bromley Youth Court today, charged with murder.
Previously, Jacob Losiewicz, 18, of Church Manor Way, Abbey Wood appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey today.
The Met said Daejaun’s family have been updated with the developments.
A ban on owning “zombie-style” knives and machetes came into effect last week, two days after the stabbing.
Zombie-style knives and machetes are defined as weapons with blades more than 8ins in length, normally with a serrated cutting edge.
The new legislation closed a legal loophole and made it an imprisonable offence to own, make, transport or sell a wide range of knives.
