Nobel prize-winning author and his daughter to discuss new book in online event

Nobel prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro and his daughter Naomi Ishiguro will make a rare public appear-ance to discuss their new novels in an online event.

The pair will discuss their books with broadcaster Razia Iqbal on April 5, in a conversation hosted by the Southbank Centre.

Kazuo Ishiguro’s upcoming novel Klara and the Sun tells the story of an Artificial Friend of exceptional observational abilities, who awaits selection by a human companion.

It is his first novel since winning the 2017 Nobel Prize for Literature.

Naomi Ishiguro’s debut novel Common Ground champions the principles of solidarity and friendship across cultural boundaries.
