Police appeal as man dies in Mitcham motorcycle crash
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal motorbike collision.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 10.56am today, Monday, February 12, to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle at Windmill Road, Mitcham.
Officers, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance rushed to attend to the scene but the rider of the motorcycle – a man believed to be aged in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.29am.
Enquiries are underway to confirm the man’s identity and contact next of kin.
A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of the collision.
