Detectives investigating a shooting in Plumstead have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
At about 6:30pm, on Friday June 8, two men walked into a cab office in Herbert Road and requested a cab.
The men got into a cab. As the driver reversed, he saw a group of males approach the cab. One of them pointed a handgun at the cab and fired it once into the rear of the car, shattering the window, and narrowly missing the two passengers.
The suspects then ran-off from the scene in a car.
The two passengers got out of the taxi and made-off on foot.
No injuries were reported in relation to the shooting.
Police were called at about 6:35pm.
The incident is being investigated by the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command and detectives have released the image of a man they would like to speak to regarding the shooting.
Anyone who recognises the man, or has information about the incident, should call police on 020 8247 4863 or 101.
