QPR want loan deal for Josh Cullen – as Charlton face battle for West Ham midfielder
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
QPR are rivalling Charlton Athletic for the loan signing of Josh Cullen.
The 23-year-old West Ham midfielder was a roaring success for the Addicks last season. And Charlton boss Lee Bowyer would love to bring Cullen back to SE7 for the 2019-20 Championship season.
But the South London Press has been told that QPR are the frontrunners for the Essex-raised player, whose form for the Addicks saw him called up to the full Republic of Ireland squad.
Charlton also wanted a loan return for Krystian Bielik but the versatile Poland U21 international is thought to be keen to quit Arsenal permanently this summer – instead of yet another temporary exit – with clubs across Europe interested in his signature.
