RB Leipzig make move for Crystal Palace striker

Alexander Sorloth could be set for a move to RB Leipzig – with the Champions League semi-finalists won over by his scoring exploits since a loan exit from Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old never convinced for the Eagles, who paid in the region of £8million when he arrived from FC  Midtjylland in January 2018.

But Sorloth has scored 33 goals in 49 matches for Tranzonspor in the 2019-20 season.

The Super Lig side had agreed a two-year loan for the Norwegian international and were also thought to have an option to sign him, although reports have claimed that is dependent on appearances in the next campaign.

Sorloth appears keen to join Leipzig but the Eagles will need to resolve his situation at Trabzonspor before they can press ahead with negotiations.

He scored once in 20 outings for Palace and spent the previous season on loan at KAA Gent.
