Released Spurs midfielder on trial with AFC Wimbledon

Former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Bowden is on trial with AFC Wimbledon.

The 22-year-old left the north Londoners at the end of last season.

Bowden was substituted on in the second half of AFC Wimbledon’s 0-0 draw with National League side Woking on Saturday. He replaced Jake Reeves.

The former Republic of Ireland youngster has had a loan spell with Oldham Athletic during his career.

“He only joined us yesterday for training,” Jackson told the South London Press.

“We used him today to get some minutes.

“It’s a difficult game to come into. The game got really bitty towards the end when all the changes were made.

“Jamie is going to train with us for the coming week and we will have a look at him.”
