Sheffield United midfielder is on radar of Millwall – but they also have two other potential targets
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Ryan Leonard is on the list of Millwall midfield targets before Friday’s loan deadline – but the Championship outfit also have two other options in the mix.
The Lions are set to add to their ranks before allowing any deal for George Saville, chased by Middlesbrough, to happen.
Leonard was on Millwall’s wanted list immediately after promotion from League One. But Southend fought hard to keep their star man and the Lions ended up moving on and securing other signings. He eventually joined Sheffield United in January.
Leonard, 26, has played 59 minutes of Championship football this season.
The Premier League window has now closed and that means that players on the fringes at top-flight clubs are available on season-long loans.
