‘A tough start’ – Millwall winger excited for playing opportunity in Bromley loan
New Bromley signing Adam Mayor is excited to get back to playing regular football again after completing a loan switch from Millwall.
Mayor joined Millwall after impressing in Morecambe’s first team, but the winger suffered an injury-hit first year at The Den.
His only appearance this season came in the 3-0 FA Cup win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
The 19-year-old penned a six-month loan deal with the League Two Ravens and is set to be straight into the matchday squad for their clash against Grimsby on Saturday.
He told the club website: “It’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a while – to get back out on loan and to get playing again.
“It was a tough start to the season. I got injured and struggled to get back going really.
“The main aim is to push for the play-offs. We will see what happens.
“The main focus is the game tomorrow [against Grimsby], and then take it one game at a time.
“What I have needed is to get back to playing regular football – it’s something I’m looking forward to.
“Last time I played Grismby for Morecambe I had a good game – I think I scored as well.
“I have good memories against them.”
