AFC Wimbledon striker and former Charlton midfielder nominated for League Two Player of the Month accolade
AFC Wimbledon striker Matty Stevens has been nominated for November’s League Two Player of the Month award.
The Dons frontman scored three goals in five matches during that period that helped lift the South London club into the play-off places.
Former Charlton Athletic midfielder Alex Gilbey, who now plays for Milton Keynes, has also been nominated along with Harrogate Town midfielder Dean Cornelius and Colchester United defensive midfielder Jamie McDonnell.
Stevens, 26, has bagged 10 goals in 18 matches for Wimbledon and was on their scoresheet in their 3-0 victory at Harrogate Town at the weekend.
He signed a two-year contract with the Dons in May after his release by Forest Green Rovers.
