Birmingham City captain makes League One claim – with Charlton Athletic visit coming up
Krystian Bielik says Brimingnam Ciy will be a Championship team again at the end of the season.
Chris Davies’ side have won six of their opening seven League One games after being relegated from the Championship last season.
They made 17 signings during the summer window, with Alfie May joining from Charlton and Lyndon Dykes dropping down from QPR.
Birmingham also broke the League One record by signing Jay Stansfield from Fulham for a fee in excess of £10million.
Charlton host Birmingham at The Valley on Saturday.
The Blues captain told BBC Radio WM: “We’re League One but I don’t think there are any players in this team who are League One players.
“All of them are at a higher level. In six months time we’ll be a Championship team and a different animal.
“We stay humble and keep our feet on the ground and we don’t want to choke on it. But the reality is we’re too good for League One.”
I can’t disagree with him . If we cut out some stupid mistakes then we will easily get over 100 points and 100 goals . Even after gifting Peterborough 2 soft goals we should have scored more and we won with ease in the end .
