Bromley boss pleased with on-loan Millwall winger Mayor’s debut

Andy Woodman was pleased with Adam Mayor’s first start for Bromley.

The Millwall loanee has joined for the rest of the League Two season in an effort to get some game time.

Ravens manager Woodman was impressed with what he saw from the former Morecambe man on his debut in this afternoon’s 2-0 defeat to Grimsby Town.

“Adam did great for us,” he said. ”

We had to take him off at 60 minutes because we need to manage his minutes and make sure he doesn’t pull his hamstring or something as he has not had a lot of minutes.

“He was really good for 60 minutes today, really good.”

Bromley are on a run of five games in the league without a win.

Asked how he felt about the run, Woodman said. “We are always going to have tough spells in the season.

“If we thought we would have it all our own way we would be kidding ourselves. We’ve come up and it’s a tough league.

“We’ve had good runs and we are having a bit of a tough run now. But you have to dig in at times like this. A result will come out of the blue and everyone will be relaxed again.”
