Charlton Athletic players set to learn fate this week – manager Nathan Jones

Charlton Athletic’s out-of-contract players will learn their fate by midweek.

Addicks manager Nathan Jones is set to sit down for conversations with every member of his squad before they jet off for their summer break.

And those whose terms are due to expire will be told if they will be offered extended stays in SE7.

Central defenders Terell Thomas and Michael Hector are amongst the senior players whose deals are set to run out.

Jones has warned that there will be a “big change in personnel” this summer following the Addicks’ disappointing campaign.

Jones said: “I’ll speak to every single player. Everyone will have an individual meeting about what we expect moving forward. Little things, evaluation and what we expect moving forward.

“[The out-of-contract players] will know Wednesday whether they will continue with us or not.”

Asked if he had already made his mind up on his squad before the last few weeks of the season, Jones said: “Absolutely. [The last few weeks have been] just reiteration for me.”
