Charlton Athletic target signs pre-contract with Rangers
Charlton Athletic transfer target Nnamdi Ofoborh has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers.
We broke the news that the Addicks were keen on the Southwark-born midfielder, who is currently on the books of AFC Bournemouth.
But Bowyer told our paper that they were set to be priced out of a move for Ofoborh, who sees his Cherries deal expire in the summer.
And the Scottish press are claiming that Steven Gerrard has landed the South Londoner. The Gers are 23 points clear at the top of the SPFL table.
Bowyer said: “We enquired about him. We made a couple of enquiries.
“But I think Steve [Gallen, director of football] spoke to the agent and he said: ‘This is the situation’. The agent mentioned two, three or four clubs and we knew then that we were out.”
