Charlton Athletic man still injury doubt for Accrington Stanley fixture
Charlton Athletic midfielder Scott Fraser remains an injury doubt for Saturday’s home game against Accrington Stanley.
The 27-year-old Scot was unavailable for last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Plymouth Argyle.
Fraser has scored five goals and collected four assists in 36 appearances this season for the South London club.
Mandela Egbo (quad) featured for Charlton’s U21s at the back end of last week but is not ready for a return.
Charlton also have Chuks Aneke (hamstring) ruled out for the remainder of the season while Coventry City loanee Todd Kane (hamstring) has been sidelined since January.
“Manny played 45 minutes in the game and got through no problem, so that’s a positive,” Addicks boss Dean Holden told the South London Press. “He’s a little bit short in terms of coming back into the squad right now.
“He is pushing himself to get to that in the next few weeks hopefully, once he gets a bit more game time. He’s been out for a long time.
“Scottie is day to day. He has had a niggling injury for three or four weeks and it is a day to day thing with pain relief and whatever else. We’ll just have to see how he is come tomorrow.”
