Charlton wait on scan results for January transfer window signing

Charlton Athletic defender Kayne Ramsay was forced off in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Lincoln City, with the League One club awaiting the results of scans.

The Addicks snapped up the right-sided defender from Harrogate towards the end of the winter transfer window.

Ramsay made his first start for Charlton in their midweek meeting with the Imps.

He required treatment from the club’s medical staff before being subbed off for Tayo Edun in the 82nd minute.

Ramsay was an unused substitute at Reading last weekend but made his debut against Derby County.

“We had to replace Kayne Ramsay, so we’ll assess him to see how he is,” said Charlton manager Nathan Jones. “We’ll know more in the coming days.

“He’s just had a really stiff hamstring so we’re waiting on scan results to see if it is just soreness or if there is any kind of damage.  We assessed that yesterday and now we’re just waiting on results.”

Jones also confirmed that summer addition Terry Taylor, who had ankle surgery earlier this season, has not had any kind of setback.

Taylor underwent an operation in October and our paper reported in mid-January that he has resumed full training.

“Terry is back,” said Jones. “He’s fine and training well.”
