Chuks Aneke back in full training for Charlton – but Nathan Jones won’t give ‘any inclination’ about playing prospects
Chuks Aneke is back in full training with Charlton Athletic – but don’t expect detailed selection updates from new manager Nathan Jones.
The big centre-forward has been missed during his latest injury absence from the squad.
Aneke, 30, has not featured since he scored in the 4-0 win over Reading on October 21.
He has played just seven times this season but – when available – has been a highly-effective frontline option.
Charlton are already deprived of Miles Leaburn who is set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring issue which required surgery.
“Chuks is training with us,” Jones told the South London Press. “But at no point during my point at Charlton will I give any inclination if anyone is playing.
“What I can say is that he is back in full training with us but it is when the right time to put him in is.”
