Croydon Boxing Gym fighter crowned London Youth champion

Eduart Kola from Croydon Boxing Gym was crowned London Youth 2025 champion in the 71kgs-and-under category last weekend, defeating two former London champions en-route to his triumph with stoppage wins in the semi-finals and final.
Kola faced Quinton Carter (Fitzroy Lodge) who is a very slick and very crafty southpaw in the semis. However, that did not deter Eduart at all as he stuck to the game plan that Ted Bami gave him to a 2nd round stoppage victory.
In the finals, he faced a tougher opponent in Joseph Smith (Finchley) and it was an outright war from the get go.
Kola maximised his boxing abilities, showed grit, determination, and threw loads of clean right hands behind the jab to get the stoppage win in the third round.
Kola said: “I thank God first.
“I have put in the works for years and years. I have tried the championships before and failed, but I kept on going despite being at my lowest point.
“I got back up, came back stronger and now I am the London champ and we now go all the way to the nationals. I would like to thank Ted Bami (head coach) and we train hard for this.”
