Crystal Palace boss provides key Michael Olise injury update ahead of Nottingham Forest trip
Michael Olise has returned to Crystal Palace training – but boss Oliver Glasner says the next two upcoming fixtures have come too soon for the winger.
The 22-year-old is yet to featured under the Austrian boss after suffering a hamstring injury in Roy Hodgson’s final away game in charge – a 4-1 defeat at Brighton.
Olise has nine goal contributions in 11 Premier League appernecs for the South Londoners this season but has had his campaign hindered by hamstring injuries.
The Eagles head to Forest eight points clear of the bottom three and then make the trip down to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Glasner said: “It’s good news, but he’s not in the squad.
“He did many parts of the training this week – not all the parts.
“He’s on the way back, but the Nottingham game is too early. Also, the Bournemouth game is too early. Then we will see the next days.
“Michael showed in the sessions that he’s a brilliant player, but the focus is on all the other players tomorrow because I don’t look too far in the future.
“It’s important [to focus on] the Nottingham game, and Michael won’t play, so the focus and concentration is on all the other players.”
The Palace boss also confirmed that Daniel Munoz and Jeffrey Schlupp will be fit for the trip to the City Ground.”
