Crystal Palace eye deal for Arsenal forward after Nottingham Forest move collapses
Crystal Palace are targetting a move for Arsenal forward Eddie Nkeitiah as the transfer window enters the final week.
The 25-year-old is allowed to leave north London this summer and looked set for a move to Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest.
However, the deal for the Lewisham-born striker to move to the City Ground has collapsed and Palace are ready to swoop for one of their long-term targets.
Nkeitiah is surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium and would bolster Oliver Glasner’s attacking unit.
The Eagles are expected to add a defender before the window closes after Joachim Andersen completed a £30million switch to Fulham.
Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman is keen on Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and a bid worth up to £14m for Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix was also submitted last week.
