Crystal Palace make approach for Millwall talent Romain Esse – winger made top priority by Eagles
Crystal Palace have made an approach for Millwall talent Romain Esse, the South London Press understands.
Eagles sporting director Dougie Freedman is a huge admirer of the 19-year-old and has been to watch him on a number of occasions this season.
Esse has been made a priority signing by the Premier League side, with Palace stepping up their interest.
There is a release clause in Esse’s contract with the Lions, but it is unclear whether that comes into operation in the current window or next summer.
The Eagles remain keen on Liverpool winger Ben Doak, who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough.
Palace saw a £12million, plus £3m in add-ons, rejected by Liverpool for the 19-year-old Scotland international.
