Dulwich Hamlet mid-table after Hashtag United setback
BY JAKE HILLMAN
Dulwich Hamlet’s hopes of climbing the Isthmian League Premier Division table were dashed by Hashtag United on Saturday.
The struggling visitors arrived at Champion Hill in the relegation zone but left with all three points, courtesy of goals from dangerous winger Sakariya Hassan and substitute Joshua Osude.
Hashtag had a golden opportunity to put themselves in front when Toby Aromolaran laid it off for Hassan but he smashed his attempt right at the goalkeeper.
But they did go ahead in the 15th minute. Toby Aromolaran’s shot was deflected into the path of Dulwich full-back Sean Bonnett-Johnson, whose attempted interception landed kindly for Hassan to gleefully tap home.
Creativity was brewing in the Tags side as a great cross presented Josh Rusoke with a sublime chance to extend the lead but he was denied by an important save by Jameson Horlick.
Osude made it 2-0 in the 88th minute, assertively slotting in Matthew Wooldridge’s pass.
Dulwich are 10th in the table.
