Exclusive: Millwall hoping to land Boro striker on permanent deal
Millwall are hoping to complete a permanent deal for Middlesbrough striker Josh Coburn.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan with the South Londoners.
And the South London Press understands that the Lions are keen to turn that into a full-time arrangement with Boro receptive about reaching an agreement.
Coburn has scored twice in seven appearances for Millwall.
The big forward has been unlucky with injuries since signing for the SE16 outfit and has been out since the start of December with a broken metatarsal.
Coburn has made an impressive start to life with the Lions before a calf injury sidelined him in September.
Millwall are keen to add to their attacking options in this window with the wide and number 10 position also areas that could be added to – as well as central midfield.
Coburn suffered his foot injury in the match at Oxford United and left the ground in a protective boot.
“He is going to miss a large chunk of an important period of football,” said then Millwall head coach Neil Harris. “Josh, when he is on the pitch, showed in the first half his qualities as a Millwall number nine and his importance to the squad and why we were so desperate to bring him in, as a profile as a striker at the football club.
“It is a big loss but we have coped very well without him in the past and we will have to do in the future.”
This could be just another rumour and if its not, do you think he would want to join this shower of s**t?
