Former Arsenal and Charlton defender Carl Jenkinson signs for Bromley
Bromley have signed free agent former Arsenal and England full-back Carl Jenkinson.
The 32-year-old, who has been training with the Ravens to keep fit, was a free agent after leaving Australian side Newcastle Jets this summer.
Jenkinson progressed through Charlton’s academy and made nine senior appearances before moving to the Gunners in June 2011.
He made 70 first-team appearances with the north Londoners and had spells with West Ham, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest.
Andy Woodman’s side take on Milton Keynes in League Two on Saturday.
“I’m really happy it’s all sorted out now,” Jenkinson told Bromley’s website.
“It’s a great group of lads and it’s nice to step into their environment to be honest, something I want to do is help the club from this point onwards so they can progress.
“I’ll give my all to the club and the gaffer – it was a fantastic achievement for the lads to get promoted last year, but the club wants to push on again now and that was a nice selling point for me.”
