Former Wimbledon defender makes League One loan switch
Former AFC Wimbledon defender Steve Seddon has joined League One side Burton Albion on loan from Oxford United.
The 25-year-old attacking full-back made 37 appearances across two loan spells for the Dons from Birmingham City.
Seddon scored four goals and picked up four assists during his time with the South Londoners.
He moved to Oxford permanently in 2021 and had a loan spell with Cambridge last season.
Burton manager Dino Maamria said: “We’ve been chasing after Steve for the last couple of years. I took him on loan when I was at Stevenage and he’s a player I know really well.
“He’s got brilliant attributes with and without the ball. He’s very hard working and fits in very well with what we’re looking for. We’re delighted to have him and hopefully we can offer him a home where he’s comfortable and loved by everyone and hopefully we will see the best out of him.”
Seddon joins Cole Stockton, Josh Gordon, Rekeem Harper, Kegs Chauke, Max Crocombe and Mason Bennett as new recruits at the Pirelli Stadium.
