Greenwich Schools football team on course to win quadruple

Greenwich Schools’ year 6 team are on course for the quadruple this season.

They had already won the Kent Premiership and the Kent Gills Shield before claiming the Inner London Trophy on Saturday with a 6-0 victory over Hackney.

Greenwich’s goalscorers were Fletcher McBryde (two), Brodie Baker, Donte Lawrence, Rico Sealy and Harrey Sefton.

The side will look to add a fourth piece of silverware to their collection on June 25 when they play in the London Shield final.

Manager Tommy McAvoy said: “It’s been an incredible season for our Greenwich boys and I’m so proud of every player for what they have achieved. We have wonderful individuals in the team but it’s been our team spirit and togetherness that’s taken us to an unprecedented treble – and we aren’t finished just yet.”
