‘He knows the reason’ – Crystal Palace boss explains Rob Holding’s absence and Jefferson Lerma’s injury after Chelsea draw
Oliver Glasner says Rob Holding did not miss Crystal Palace’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea through injury.
The 28-year-old was absent from the matchday squad against the Blues, with four academy players being named on the bench.
Glasner confirmed that Holding was available in his pre-match press conference after the former Arsenal defender was missing for the 4-0 EFL Cup win over Norwich.
“Rob is training individually at the moment,” said Glasner
“We will talk together – he knows the reason. But it is something that stays between Rob and me.
“Nothing public.”
Jefferson Lerma started the 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham last time out in the Premier League.
The Colombian midfielder also came on as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday.
“Jefferson has a problem with his toe,”
“After the day off, he came back, and his toe hurts.
“He couldn’t step into the boot, so he can’t play.
“We don’t know at the moment where it came from, but he had too much pain.”
