‘I expect’ – Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner responds to RB Leipzig links
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has denied reports he is in the final two for the RB Leipzig job.
Como manager and former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is reportedly a contender for the vacancy along with Glasner, according to reports from Sky Germany.
Glasner’s deal runs with the Eagles until the end of the 2025-26 season but he is in discussions over extending his Selhurst Park stay.
Leipzig have been without a permanent head coach since Marco Rose was sacked in March, with Zsolt Low named as interim head coach until the end of the season.
“There are so many stories written,” said Glasner.
“Sorry, I know it’s your job, but many of the things I read are not true.
“I don’t talk about my personal future because everyone here deserves Oliver Glasner’s 100 per cent focus.
“If I expect it from the players and the chairman, then I expect it from Oliver Glasner.
“No talks have been held. I don’t know [if I am a contender]. You must ask Leipzig, not me.”
