‘I’m pleased they are angry’ – Millwall boss Harris on on-pitch disagreement between Ryan Leonard and Romain Esse
Millwall head coach Neil Harris is not concerned by Romain Esse and Ryan Leonard’s disagreement during the Lions 1-0 defeat at Cardiff.
The two appeared to have a difference in opinion during the second half of last night’s contest.
The Lions boss was asked about the situation after the game.
“It doesn’t worry me at all,” said Harris.
“I”m pleased they are angry. I’m pleased they are angry with themselves and each other. You’d rather see it behind closed doors but it’s not the first time it’s happened on the pitch with my team and it won’t be the last, I hope, because I like to see passion and commitment and have a freedom of speech in my changing room as well.
“However the demand is, as always, you have your say – whatever leads to it is opinionated – but then they make sure they make up afterwards. You are talking about a senior player and a young player, they will be absolutely fine.”
