‘Imperative’ – Burton Albion caretaker boss wants side to bounce back against Charlton Athletic

Burton Albion caretaker boss Tom Hounsell says it is imperative that his side bounce back against Charlton on Tuesday after their 3-0 defeat against Stockport over the weekend.

The Brewers are bottom of League One and have only won once all season – a 5-2 win at Northampton.

Nathan Jones’ Charlton side are 14th in the third tier but have only won once in their last nine outings.

Burton only managed one shot on target against Stockport as a Louie Barry brace and a goal from Lewis Bate saw Dave Challinor’s side claim all three points.

Hounsell told the club website: “It’s so important that we go into Monday with the right mindset and prepare properly.

“Then we go into Tuesday and look to use it as a springboard to bounce back quickly and it’s imperative that we do.

“We need to make sure that we forget about today and build on some of the positives, like our reaction in the second half, and look to Charlton and try to do the best we can.”
