‘It’s a long shot’ – Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw set to miss at least six weeks with achilles injury
Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw is expected to be out until at least mid-April.
The Wales international has missed the Championship club’s last two league matches.
With Kevin Nisbet also sidelined with a knee problem, it means that Burnley loanee Michael Obafemi is the only fit and recognised forward available to head coach Neil Harris.
Harris is managing Obafemi’s minutes with the powerful and pacey attacker coming on at the start of the second half in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Blackburn. Obafemi opened the scoring at Ewood Park, his first goal in more than a year.
“Bradders saw the specialist on Monday,” Harris told the South London Press. “Nothing has changed. We know he has got an achilles injury and he’s going to be a minimum of six weeks – maybe up to eight weeks.
“Getting Bradders back before the end of the season is a long shot.
“If we can get him back – whether he is available from the start or on the bench in a minor role in the last two or three games – then that would be huge for us.
“But we have got promises on that and no expectation on that.”
