Karl Robinson provides update on injuries to Billy Clarke and Patrick Bauer
Billy Clarke is set for two more weeks on the side-lines, after missing Charlton’s 2-2 draw with Milton Keynes – but Patrick Bauer is expected to return for Tuesday’s home game with Rochdale.
29-year-old Clarke suffered a calf injury in the 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon last month, and Addicks boss Karl Robinson admitted that it was worse than first feared.
“Billy is probably going to be out for two week,” explained Robinson.
“ It’s a four-week injury but he’s been out for two weeks now. He did it just at the back-end of the Wimbledon game so we’ve known about it for a while. It was a little bit more serious than we thought.’
German defender Bauer was also forced to miss Saturday’s game with Robinson’s former employers, but is in contention to return in time to face the Dale.
“Patrick Bauer should be back hopefully for Tuesday,” said Robinson.
