Millwall boss Neil Harris has message for fans ahead of Sheffield United clash
Neil Harris has spoken again of the important part Millwall fans have to play for Saturday’s home game against Sheffield United.
The Lions face the Yorkshire outfit this weekend, the first meeting since both clubs were promoted from League One.
Harris praised the 3,000-plus Millwall fans who backed their team at Craven Cottage last weekend as they were edged out by Fulham.
“There were not flying tackles – you can’t have those these days – but you could see a connection between the pitch and terraces,” said Harris. “The fans behind the goal were outstanding. They were trying to suck the ball into the net and the players responded at times.
“That’s the support we have got to have at The Den on Saturday. Every home game now is going to be difficult and we need our fans to carry us at times.
“Saturday’s game is a team we know well from last season. They have a talented squad and a lot of resources. When things are not rolling for us we need our 12th man.”
