Millwall dealt injury blow as Callum Styles ruled out for three months
Millwall have been dealt a blow with the news that Callum Styles is set to miss the next 12 weeks with a quad injury.
It means the Hungarian international, on loan from Barnsley, is set to be absent for pretty much the remainder of the campaign.
The 22-year-old has made 18 appearances since signing from the Tykes on September 2.
Styles played 89 minutes in Millwall’s last match, a 1-0 win at Cardiff City.
“It’s really disappointing for us and really disappointing for Stylesy,” Rowett told the South London Press. “But we have to get on with it.
“We don’t know if he did it in training or a game, there wasn’t a specific moment he felt it.
“He went for a scan and the specialist said it is quite a bad one – nothing is torn but he has almost pulled the fibres in the quad, although it’s probably a bit more technical than how I’ve explained it.
“It has felt a bit like that for a while (with setbacks of injuries), we get a player playing well and competing for a midfield slot, as well as having the versatility to play down the left as well, and then he gets injured.”
