Millwall striker nominated for April Championship Player of the Month

Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic has been nominated for the April Championship Player of the Month.

The Serbian youngster scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Portsmouth last month and an important brace in a 3-1 victory at home to Norwich.

Ivanovic also netted in a 4-1 defeat at Ewood Park against Blackburn.

The 20-year-old has 12 Championship goals in his debut EFL campaign and has now been nominated for the Player of the Month award for the first time.

Ivanovic is up against Burnley’s Josh Brownhill, who has three goals and three assists in April.

Swansea’s Harry Darling and Leeds’ Manor Solomon are also up for the award.

The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.

The winner will be announced Friday morning at 9 am.
