Millwall transfer window recruit produces best display yet since summer switch from Notts County
Millwall head coach Neil Harris reckoned Macaulay Langstaff produced strongest display for the club in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against QPR.
The summer signing from Notts County is still waiting for his first goal for the South Londoners but collected an assist for Duncan Watmore’s opener.
Harris said: “His movement was excellent. He led the line really, really well.
“We are playing a front four that is not the biggest and is not the most aggressive – but has really good movement and is really good with the ball.
“We worked leading into the game on George, Macca, Dunc and Romain – their movements have to cause problems for QPR.
“Macaulay was excellent – certainly his best performance in a Millwall shirt.
“I see enough today to know that goals will come for him.
“Romain came back from international duty and, by his own admission, was disappointed with his performance against Luton. He felt really low on energy whereas this week he has looked really sharp again. His use of the ball was really good. He is very, very good without the ball as well – his discipline and game understanding is very good.
“With the ball he is just a threat. He is listening and learning all the time about getting into more threatening goalscoring positions.”
