Millwall will not receive extra cash after Zian Flemming helps Burnley achieve Premier League objective
Zian Flemming will be a Premier League player next season after Burnley’s promotion from the Championship was confirmed on Easter Monday following a 2-1 win over Sheffield United.
The Millwall loanee, who will have his obligation to buy triggered at Turf Moor, joined the Clarets on deadline day in the summer for a then club record £7million fee.
The South London Press understands there is no promotion bonus included in Flemming’s Millwall exit.
Flemming, 26, has made 34 Championship appearances this season for Scott Parker’s side and racked up 10 goals and three assists.
The Lions have made a significant profit on the attacking midfielder, who was snapped up from Fortuna Sittard in June 2022. He played 92 times for the South Londoners, scoring 23 times across two seasons.
Flemming’s club record sale was trumped this winter when Romain Esse was sold to Crystal Palace for £14.5m.
