Nathan Jones clears up Miles Leaburn substitution after forward limps out of defeat at Huddersfield
Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has explained why striker Miles Leaburn was withdrawn during the second-half of the loss at Huddersfield Town.
The forward, who spent nearly a year side-lined with a hamstring complaint before returning to action at the start of last month, received treatment on the John Smith’s Stadium turf before being replaced by Danny Hylton late on.
Jones said: “He was cramping up. So was [Rarmani Edmonds-Green] because they haven’t played a lot of games lately. We just need to make sure that we’re using the squad and maintaining that.
“[Leaburn is] still gathering momentum. To be able to do 90 minutes at the level we need, it’s going to take a little bit of time.”
