Portsmouth on excellent run at home as boss Mousinho discusses ‘very different’ Millwall fixture
Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has talked about his players having a “huge amount of confidence” in their home form as they get ready to take on Millwall tonight.
The Championship match at Fratton Park had to be rearranged after floodlight failure earlier in the season forced a postponement.
The Lions head into the fixture off the back of a confidence-building 1-0 win over Luton on Saturday – Mihailo Ivanovic’s excellent strike earning a first three-point haul for recently-appointed head coach Alex Neil.
Portsmouth are strong at home with four straight victories. They have won six and drawn one of their last seven matches there but lost 5-1 at West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
Mousinho told the club’s official website: “We should have a huge amount of confidence because of our record at Fratton Park, where we’ve looked impressive.
“But I also think we should have had that on Saturday, as we went into the game on the back of two successive wins.
“We’re pleased to be coming home again, although Millwall are a very different prospect to anything we’ve faced before.
“They’re coming here off the back of a good result against Luton at the weekend and it should be a tough fixture.
