QPR boss pleased with former Arsenal player’s progress

Mark Warburton would have had “no hesitation” in starting Chris Willock against Bournemouth but believes the “talented” winger can have an impact late in games.
The 23-year-old, who joined Queens Park Rangers from Benfica last October, has started just seven games this season but came on off the bench during the 2-1 win against the Cherries.
He replaced Stefan Johansen on the hour mark before teeing up fellow substitute Macauley Bonne late on, a chance which was missed.
Warburton says the former Arsenal youngster has done “really well” since joining QPR and wants to see him improve his game off the ball.
He said: “Chrissy has so much ability – so, so much ability – but the Championship demands of players with and without the ball. A bit like Ebs [Ebere Eze] last year.
“We know the talent with the ball, it’s about the work without the ball. Chrissy is working hard every single day.
“[There was] no hesitation to start with him but I know sometimes when the game gets a little bit more fatigued, and some defenders get a little bit tired, he can have such an impact.
“He’s done really well. No hesitation, as I say, to starting him but he’s a really exciting talent.”
