QPR set to appoint Michael Beale as new manager
QPR are set to appoint Michael Beale as their new boss.
Aston Villa’s assistant head coach was interviewed by Charlton Athletic about their managerial vacancy.
But we reported earlier this month that Beale also had Championship interest in his services.
He is understood to be pulling together his backroom team as he gets ready to take his first role as the main man after previously working under Steven Gerrard. He was number two to the Liverpool legend at Rangers and followed the former England international when he made the switch to Villa Park.
It was confirmed at the end of April that Mark Warburton was leaving QPR after the west Londoners failed to maintain a promotion push.
They had been in contention for the top six in the first half of the season but fell away badly.
