QPR starlet – who recently penned new deal and scored Plymouth winner – sets new goal target

QPR starlet Rayan Kolli has set his sights on doubling his goal tally after scoring the only goal of the game in their 1-0 win at Plymouth on Saturday.

The 19-year-old forward put pen to paper on a new long-term contract on Friday with the west Londoners.

He sealed his new deal by scoring the winning goal at Home Park as Marti Cifuentes’ side move six points away from the play-off spots.

“I’m so happy,” Kolli told QPR’s YouTube channel.

“Getting the three points is the most important thing of all. To come away with a goal also – I’m buzzing.

“It’s been an amazing week to stay at this amazing club. It’s an amazing feeling, especially to top it off with a goal for the three points.

“When it rebounded back to Ilias Chair, I was screaming for it. Thankfully, it’s gone through the player’s legs and gone into the bottom corner.”

Kolli has five goals to his name this season in 13 appearances in all competitions.

He added: “Going into the season, Steve Cook said: ‘I want five goals from you.’

“I just messaged him in the dressing room and said: ‘I’ve got my five now. I want 10 now.’

“He [Cook] agreed. If I get to the 10 mark, then it’s 15.”
