Southampton v Millwall team line-ups: Neil Harris makes four changes for first match as head coach
Millwall head coach Neil Harris has made four changes for his first match in charge today at Southampton.
The 46-year-old, the Lions’ all-time leading goalscorer, looks set to go with a 4-2-3-1 formation at St Mary’s Stadium against a home side who have scored 26 goals in their last eight matches on their own turf.
George Saville, Billy Mitchell, Ryan Longman and Michael Obafemi are the switches in from the 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last time out which spelled the end for head coach Joe Edwards.
Murray Wallace, Romain Esse, Casper De Norre and Tom Bradshaw drop to the bench.
It is Millwall’s first league visit to Southampton since August 2011, a 1-0 defeat. Their last league win came at The Dell, the Saints’ old ground, in August 1989 when Les Briley and Tony Cascarino scored the Lions goals.
Southampton are unbeaten in their last eight league matches at home to the South Londoners – winning five and drawing three.
