‘Then we will win’ – Crystal Palace boss explains what is needed to get past Millwall in FA Cup clash
Oliver Glasner has told his Crystal Palace side they will need to replicate the standards they showed in their 4-1 midweek win over Aston Villa if they want to beat rivals Millwall in the FA Cup tomorrow.
The South London clubs collide for a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Palace had struggled at Selhurst Park in 2025, losing to Everton and Brentford, but picked up their first win at home of the calendar year in a convincing win over Champions League side Villa.
“It’s not important to get a home win,” said Glasner.
“It’s not important where you play or when you play. When you play a cup game, it’s important to win.
“Whoever is the opposition, it doesn’t matter. This is how we will prepare. It will be a completely different game [to Aston Villa].
“We will look at ourselves for 80 or 90 per cent of it – what we need to do to create chances to score goals and not allow the opposition situations to score.
“We will watch Millwall on Wednesday with all the analysts – everything will be prepared.
“We have to have the same sharpness and focus – be prepared and concentrated.
“Then we will win. But we can’t allow ourselves to play Millwall with one or two per cent less than we did today.”
